According to the Order "On additional measures in the field of regulation of public transport in Nakhchivan city" signed by President Ilham Aliyev last year, in order to organize passenger transportation in the city's public transport system only with electric buses, 60 "BYD" buses assembled in our country, 8.7 meters long, each with a capacity of 53 passengers, were purchased, energy charging devices were installed, and the depot infrastructure for servicing the buses was improved.

A digital dispatch and monitoring system was installed to manage traffic, and cashless payment options were created on buses via bank cards, QR codes, "Apple Pay" and "Google Pay".

With the implementation of this project, 4.5 million passengers can be provided with high-level service on 9 routes in Nakhchivan city per year.

The movement of buses will be monitored in real time through the monitoring center. This will ensure control over the safe and uninterrupted transportation of passengers.

The launch of BakuBus LLC in Nakhchivan will make a significant contribution to improving the quality of public transport services and transitioning payment processes to a completely cashless format.

The necessary infrastructure has been created in the depot, which covers an area of ​​​​about three hectares, including technical inspection and repair posts, an electric charging station with an automated accounting system, and a complex that allows washing 15 buses per hour. The depot will operate in a two-shift mode and will employ 200 drivers and 22 administrative staff. The monthly salary of the drivers will be more than 1,000 manats.
