Implementation of the "Digital Village Center" project has begun in Nakhchivan
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has launched the “Digital Village Center” project to increase digital literacy in rural areas and promote the use of modern technologies. Within the framework of the project, another educational training was organized for residents in the Alishar village of Sharur district.
During the training, participants were provided with practical information on the efficient and safe use of the Internet, myGov and other electronic government services, online payments, artificial intelligence, distance learning and cybersecurity.
At the same time, awareness was raised about the sale of products produced by villagers through e-commerce platforms and social networks, delivery to buyers by postal services, presentation of village houses on online platforms, development of rural tourism and additional income opportunities.
The main goal of the project is to transform rural post offices into digital knowledge, education and support centers by effectively using the existing postal infrastructure and the potential of employees, against the backdrop of a decrease in demand for traditional postal services.
The project is planned to gradually cover all cities and districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, including remote rural settlements. Thus, it is aimed at increasing the digital literacy of the population, expanding access to electronic services, integrating rural residents into the digital economy, promoting online sales of local products and rural tourism.
Within the framework of the project, postal employees are expected to provide practical support to rural residents on digital services, and citizens with limited computer and internet access will be able to use the conditions created in post offices free of charge.
Residents who wish to receive information and practical support regarding the use of digital services can contact the rural post offices of the “Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center” LLC involved in the project.
