Expansion of high-speed fiber-optic internet network coverage has begun in Nakhchivan
The next stage in strengthening the internet infrastructure has been launched by the “Nakhchivan Post and Telecommunications Center” Limited Liability Company operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Thus, the installation of fiber-optic cables has begun in various areas of Nakhchivan city for the purpose of laying new internet lines based on GPON technology. Within the framework of the project, work is being carried out on buildings covering a number of streets and residential areas.
The addresses where the installation work is being carried out include Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Ataturk Street, Gochustu and Chanlibel neighborhoods, Hasan Aliyev and Istiglal streets, Nizami Street and other areas.
This project, which is being implemented, will not only expand the population's access to high-speed and stable internet services, but will also make a significant contribution to improving the quality of digital services. At the same time, it is also planned to provide subscribers with affordable and accessible internet tariffs on the new network.
It is planned to expand the scope of the project in the next stages. Thus, it is planned to fully deploy a GPON network throughout the Autonomous Republic, including Nakhchivan city, other regional centers, as well as all villages and settlements. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the availability of high-speed and stable broadband internet services throughout the region.
