The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic participated in the Global Symposium for Regulators 2026 international event held in Ankara, Turkey.

Representatives of regulatory agencies, state organizations, international institutions and leading technology companies from different countries of the world participated in the event organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Digital transformation, telecommunications infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and innovative regulatory approaches were discussed within the framework of the forum.

The event was attended by Azer Mammadrahimov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - Acting Minister, and Nail Mardanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Information and Communication Technologies Agency operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the event, meetings and discussions were held with the management of the Information Technologies and Communications Agency, representatives of the ICT Academy, Turk Telekom, ITU and UPU.

During the meetings, views were exchanged on digital development, telecommunications infrastructure, the application of GPON technologies, increasing digital skills, cybersecurity, cooperation in the field of postal logistics, as well as international experience exchange.

At the same time, the delegation got acquainted with the technology exhibition organized within the framework of the event and watched presentations on innovative solutions and modern digital technologies.

The Ministry continues its activities to study advanced technologies and accelerate the digital transformation process in Nakhchivan.
