Nakhchivan's digital development priorities were discussed at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan
A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The meeting discussed the expansion of mutual cooperation in the field of digital development, the implementation status of priority projects, and joint action directions for the upcoming period.
During the discussions, the implementation of the decisions of the Digital Development Council and the Action Plan for 2026–2028, coordination of priority projects, application of unified monitoring and Roadmap mechanisms, as well as the activities of joint working groups on project management were reviewed.
The development of telecommunications and digital infrastructure was also one of the main topics of discussion at the meeting. The development prospects of the Nakhchivan Cybersecurity Center (NKM), the implementation of the Bitstream (Open Access) pilot project, and cooperation opportunities in the development of data center infrastructure and cloud services were assessed.
Within the framework of human capital development, the issues of training and certification of specialists, provision of expert support, organization of personnel exchange and strengthening cooperation with relevant educational institutions were also on the agenda.
In addition, international cooperation, development of the innovation ecosystem, joint participation in forums and startup initiatives, formation of a unified communication strategy, as well as cooperation opportunities in the pilot application of artificial intelligence, “Smart City” and “Smart Village” solutions were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation in the field of digital transformation, accelerate joint projects, continue exchange of experience and strengthen mutual coordination mechanisms.
It was noted that the joint projects to be implemented will make a significant contribution to the development of digital public administration, strengthening modern telecommunications infrastructure, improving the quality of digital services provided to citizens and further accelerating the digital transformation process in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
